VISAS

NEW VISA FEES FOR UNITED STATES CITIZENS

​

The Consulate General of the Republic of Liberia in Minnesota wishes to inform the public that all United States citizens traveling to Liberia are eligible for a three-year (3-year) multiple-entry visa  under the Tourist and Business visa categories, effective October 21, 2024, at a fee of USD $180.00. Visa fees for all other nationalities remain unchanged.

Applicants MUST make appointment before coming to the Consulate General via email at info@liberiaconsulatemn.org (We will respond upon receiving your email to confirm the appointment) from 10 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

VISA REQUIREMENT AND OTHER INFORMATION

 

Requirements

​

1. Passport (must be valid for six (6) months or more when applying for a visa)

​

2. Two (2) recent color passport-size photos (Must be taken in front of a white background, no sleeveless clothing) 

​

3. Copy of roundtrip Airline tickets

​

4. Processing FEE: select your options CASH or Money Order Payable to the Consulate General of the Republic of Liberia, Minnesota.

 

Note: Applicants outside the United States need to purchase Money Order from an American- affiliated Bank.

​

  •  Visas processing period: Five Business Days

  • Same-day processing fees for documents will be an additional Seventy-Five ($75) U.S. dollars each.

  • ALL applications must be dropped off between 10AM - 12PM for pick up between the hours of 1-2 PM)

  • Next day (or less than five (5) days) processing fees for documents will be an additional Fifty ($50) U.S Dollars each.

5. A completed Visa Application Form

​

6. COVID 19 Vaccination or Yellow Fever vaccination record is REQUIRED. (Yellow Book)

​

7. (For Business Visa Only) Any person (s) traveling for business must present a letter on the company’s letterhead, assuming financial responsibility from the company or organization.

 

Additional requirements for Minor (17 years old and below) 

A. Original Copy of Birth Certificate

B. Copy of Vaccination records

​

C. Notarized letter from both parents requesting the issuance of visa. (Parents must sign) If only one parent/guardian is traveling with the minor, explain in the letter.

​

If parent have full custody, attach a copy of the custody papers.

​

If parents are not traveling with the minor, state in the letter who will be responsible for the minor, and provide a copy of a valid passport/travel document.

​

D. Each parent must provide a notarized letter in the event that one parent has traveled during the time of processing. If one parent has full custody, kindly attach the original custody documents and provide an original notarized letter.

​

E. If one parent is represented on the birth certificate, that parent must provide an original notarized letter requesting the issuance of visa.

 

NOTE: In the event that the applicant cannot apply in person, they must send a written authorization stating who will process on their behalf/ send a United States Postal Service (USPS) self-stamped, addressed envelope (PRIORITY MAIL EXPRESS) along with ALL of the above requirements in order to ensure the return of processed document (s).

  2.  Exempted Countries: By virtue of ECOWAS Protocol, A/P, 1/5/79 on Free Movement of persons, the Right of Residence and Establishment, all ECOWAS citizens can enter Liberia visa-free using ECOWAS passports that are valid at least six (6) months.
